Halloween Challenge: Grim Reaper

As the man screamed I brought down the scythe on his balding scalp. He went silent immediately, and I moved on to my next victim. It's not that I enjoyed my job; killing people was not my kind of fun. Sighing deeply I moved on once again. The next person to find death I recognized immediately. He was my favorite boxer. This saddened me so much, but it was what I had to do. I raised the blade, and brought it down. The metal shattered into million pieces as the scythe struck his washboard abs. This had never happened before, and I was in shock. He woke immediately and grabbed me by the neck. Being the grim reaper, I could just slip out of his grasp, but it would not work. His iron claws were choking my already dead body. I lost consciousness and hit the floor. This ended the grim reapers days for good. Only seconds from my second death I closed my eyes for good.

  1. Very original! You're doing some great things with sentence fluency. For example, in "Sighing deeply, I moved on..." you begin with a participial phrase, meaning a verb ending in -ing that modifies your subject (I). This is very tricky, and it scores very high. Keep practicing!
