Halloween Challenge: Grim Reaper

As the man screamed I brought down the scythe on his balding scalp. He went silent immediately, and I moved on to my next victim. It's not that I enjoyed my job; killing people was not my kind of fun. Sighing deeply I moved on once again. The next person to find death I recognized immediately. He was my favorite boxer. This saddened me so much, but it was what I had to do. I raised the blade, and brought it down. The metal shattered into million pieces as the scythe struck his washboard abs. This had never happened before, and I was in shock. He woke immediately and grabbed me by the neck. Being the grim reaper, I could just slip out of his grasp, but it would not work. His iron claws were choking my already dead body. I lost consciousness and hit the floor. This ended the grim reapers days for good. Only seconds from my second death I closed my eyes for good.

The Tell Tale Heart

Is the man crazy, or not? In an instant I dragged him to the floor, and pulled the heavy bed over him. I then smiled gaily, to find the deed so far done. But, for many minutes, the heart beat on with a muffled sound. This, however, did not vex me; it would not be heard through the wall. At length it ceased. The old man was dead. Wow this guy is nuts. He killed the man for what reason? An eye. He definitely is crazy because no one in their right mind would ever think about that.
One reason that this man is crazy, is because of the way that every night he would hide in the mans bedroom every night for hours. I don't know if anyone in their right mind would ever think about doing that. He did this just because of the old mans eye. Couldn’t he just leave his job and the man and go somewhere else? If he would have done that, then he wouldn't have had to kill someone, and wouldn't get caught by the police. Also at the end of the story when the police are in the house, and he starts hearing the ringing in his head. He thinks that it is the old mans heart, but that's not possible at all. He is crazy if that's what he thinks it was.
Although it seems that this guy is completely insane, there are some reasons that make it seem like he is a perfectly normal person in every aspect. For example could a mad person think of this plan? Probably not. It was not a perfect plan, seeing as he got arrested, but it almost worked. A crazy person could not possibly think of that.
While it seems that this guy could be both normal or insane, I think that he is absolutely crazy. A normal person would not deliberately kill someone just because they didn't like the eye of that man. Also, doing the same thing every night for hours seems just weird. This story was almost scary by the way that he planned out what he was going to do. The person in this short story was definitely insane because of how he planned and killed the man.

Patriots Pen

The United States of America is the most free country in the world. After gaining freedom, this country has never looked back. We have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and we have rights. Many other countries can't say that about themselves. Also, people travel here looking for a better life. We are probably the only country in the world that can say something that special.
Although we are free and all, America is not necessarily a perfect place to live. For example right now the economy is in a dump. There are thousands of people here who don't have jobs or have any promise in life. We are also in many wars that decimate both our soldiers, and the amount of money that can be spent on other issues such as healthcare, education and others.
Even though there are many different reasons to be proud of your country and vice versa, I am very proud to be living in America. I am proud of my freedom to do what I so choose. I think that all Americans should be extremely proud of that. If having all these privileges isn’t fortunate, then what is? We may not live in a perfect world, but living in this country makes me proud.

Doing your Laundry.

Authors Note: The assignment was to write a conclusion that had all of the proper steps in it. This is a good conclusion because I made a good argument in it. How well i used the steps to making a good conclusion.

There is no reason for kids to do laundry. It builds character and all, but if you only have one life time, why waste a couple of minutes doing laundry. It is a chore that should not be done by a kid. When I was younger, my mom used to do it almost every other day. Now she makes me do it. After a long tiring day at school, why should a kid have to come home and do laundry. There are so many other things that kids could be doing. If the parents stay at home, then they have all day to watch tv. They could spend a couple of minutes doing laundry.

Hook

I love to play sports. The clang sound as a bat and a ball make perfect contact, the swoosh as the ball goes through the hoop; these are as good as sounds as anything in the world. Sports are the greatest thing that's ever happened to the world. They are very fun to play, and people can make millions doing what they love. People like LeBron James make more in 10 years than most people do in a lifetime, and they get to do it playing what they love to do. Kids who play sports in schools have an opportunity to do something great in life if they find that they have a special talent. That is what sports can do. They can reveal peoples special talents. When that special talent is revealed, then there is nothing stopping them.

Letter to Casey

Dear Casey,

This is Phil, and I am cashier at McDonald's. I heard you struck out to end the game. That hurts really bad. You made many mistakes during your at bat. There was a problem that you had to try to overcome, and it was not easy. With Johnny at second and Flynn at third, you had to drive in both runs to tie, and hit a home run to win. Then when you step to bat, The rising action occurs. The crowd goes crazy. You think you're better than everybody else, so you take the first two pitches for strikes. Now you decide to get angry at the pitcher o now there is no going back. This is the climax. Now if it's a strike, the game is over. A hit could tie it up, or win the game. When you swing and miss, that is the end of the game. This is the resolution. I hope that you have a much better game next time around. Just kidding I'm not a fan of you at all.
