Final Four
In the final four for the NCAA tournament, there are some quite odd seedings. In the top left region, the four seeded Kentucky is possibly he favorite to win it all. In the bottom left is Uconn, who is probably going to win it all with their star player, Kemba Walker. On the right side of the bracket on the top is the eleventh ranked VDU standing for Virginia Commonwealth University. They are playing the Butler Bulldogs of the Horizon league. The winner of the Uconn Kentucky game plays the winner of the Butler VCU game. I think that it will be Uconn verse VCU in the championship game the cool thing about it this year is that VCU is the third 11 seed to move on to onto the final four. If they win, then they will be the first double digit team to go to the championship game. If VCU wins it all that would be a new record, and this year many records have already been set.

Personal metaphor
I am a rocket ship speeding through the sky.
I am Kobe Bryant laying the ball in the hoop.
I am Albert Pujols hitting the ball out of the park.
I am Usain Bolt sprinting on the track.

Granny Ed and the Lewisville Raiders
Have you ever felt so hopeless about something that you think accomplishing it is impossible? That's what happened in this book. The story I read was "Granny Ed, and the Lewisville Raiders" by Rae Rainey. This story was a comedy mode of literature. There was a lot in this book that made it this type of mode of literature. The plot line and the characteristics made this book a comedy.
In the beginning of the book, there was everyday normal life. There was a basketball team, who was not very good. Next in the plot line comes the problem. The coach of the team breaks his back, and cannot coach his team anymore for the rest of the season. With no one else willing to coach the team, there season looks hopeless. Then one of the players grandmas decides that if no one will coach the team, then she will. That was not the greatest idea, because she doesn't know anything about basketball. That's when the problem gets worse. That's what the team thought. Then the same kids grandma comes back, and coaches the kids. They go undefeated in the season, and win state. Then the problem is solved, and it's back to every day normal life.
Although the plot line fits there are other parts in this story that fit it into a comedy. Some characteristics in this book were the times of day, and where events took place. For example, every part of the book took place during the middle of the day. Not at midnight, or early morning like tragedies or ironies do. It always seemed to be sunny in this story too. The colors also all match with the characteristics. Green, earthy tone, and others all match. The ending also fits in perfectly with the comedy plot line, when they win the championship, and then it's back to normal everyday life.
While all these objects fit, this story could also possibly be a romance. The events also somewhat fit into a romance mode of literature, and that plot line. Even though that it could possibly be a romance, I think it is a comedy. All of the characteristics and the events in this book make it a comedy plot line.

Easter
Easter is coming soon, and I am very excited for it. Every year, either one of my aunts, or my grandma hosts Easter. Everyone still does the egg hunt just for fun, even though some of my cousins are in college. My favorite part is when we wake up in the morning and get to eat all the chocolate before my parents get up. Then I get to stay at my grandmas house for a week, and they have a basketball court and everything. Easter is probably my second favorite holiday. Another great part about Easter is that I get to see my family who live farther away. There are so many great parts about Easter.

Childhood Memory
Broken Arm
It was in fifth grade. My friends and I were at the basketball court playing a pickup game. I got a rebound off the backboard, and sprinted up the court. One of my taller friends was waiting for me at the basket. Instead of driving down the wide open lane, I pulled up for a jump shot. Before I could get the ball off, I was decked by my biggest friend, Jackson Hoang. It hurt at first quite a bit. It kind of felt like you were getting hit by a mini freight train. Immediately I fell to the ground. I landed hard on my left wrist, and it exploded. Well not literally, but it hurt like crazy. I looked up in agony at my friends disturbed faces. One of them said, "Oh, gross." I looked down and saw that my wrist was bent at an odd angle. That's when I freaked out.
This kind of reminds me of when I was riding bikes with my friend, and he fell and broke his arm. It didn't hurt him at first, but he freaked out because it was bent weird. I was scared because of the pain, because of how it was bent, but most of all, I was scared of me not playing sports during that summer. My baseball season started the very next day, which stunk. I was walked into the small nurses office, and took a seat. I had felt this pain before, because I had broken three bones before this. As I walked past I got a lot of looks that said, " Oh geez, that kid broke his arm." While I was in the nurses office, she wrapped it up, and tried to call my parents. Neither of them were home, and neither had their cell phones wiht them. I waitred in that stuffyu room for two hours before my mom got the message and came to pick me up. She idmediatelly took me to a small orthopedic called Urgent Care. I got an X-RAY and it was confirmed. That officially ended my baseball season.

March Madness
It is now March, and that means march madness. This year I think that Ohio State will win it all, because they have been dominating all season. Wisconsin is a four seed, and I think they might have a shot at doing well. In the final game I think it will be Ohio St> against Pittsburgh, with Ohio State beating them by a lot. Every year I make about like 2o brackets, but only follow 2 or 3. I like to see upsets in the tournament, unless Wisconsin loses. My family always fills out many brackets to see who wins money. My dad has won the last 2 years, but i think I'm going to win this year.

Essay on Dive

Have you ever been so scared but so excited at the same time? In the book Dive by Gordan Korman, That's what happens to all characters at some point and time. This book is a tragedy mode of literature, because it follows the tragedy plot line.
At the beginning of the book, the world is in conflict with all three kids. They screwed up in life and have to go to a facility in the ocean where they learn to scuba dive. For each one of the kids, they have a major problem in life. One of them is color blind, one has a disease where she can't walk properly, one kid paralyzed one of his friends playing hockey. The other one has no parents to help them. That's how the world is in conflict for them.
Although the world was in conflict, there was a rise to power. The rise to power in the plot line, is when they are diving, they find a shipwreck. This brings a promising future for them at the diving institute. Then before they know it, it turns out that the wreck isn't even real. It was part of a movie scene, and it was made out of plastic. That's the tragic flaw.
Even though the tragic flaw happened, that's not the worst thing that happened. They find another real wreck. Then comes the tragic fall when some treasure hunters take the wreck away from them. The kids kept trying to get the wreck but it wouldn't happen. The book ends in death and death symbolism. The death is when a captain of a ship and one of their friends dies. The death symbolism is when the hunters steal away the treasure that keeps them from making a fortune.
Even though that the book follows a tragedy plot line, that's not all in the book that yells out tragedy. Some characteristics are in the book too. Almost all of the main parts that happen take place at night. It storms all the time in the story, and it is usually never sunny. The colors in the book, and the animals fit too. Even some people in the book are like that.
Sometimes some books can be a mix of two or even three plot lines. With this story, there is no doubt that it is a tragedy. This book does have some great parts and some terrible parts, but overall it is a tragedy.

Literary Analysis New Essay
Literary analysis
In the book, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, is a comedy plot line. There are many characteristics in the book that make it this kind of story. There are some parts of this book that sound like a tragedy, but for the most part it is a comedy plot line.
For example, one main part of the story that has some tragedy. in it is the very beginning. The main character is a poor Indian kid who has poor parents, and goes to a poor school. At this point in the book it looks as if it is going to be a tragedy. Then an example of comedy is when he decides to transfer schools. The story gets funny from there on.
Although the story started like a tragedy, the novel follows a comedy plot line. First it's everyday life in the Indian reservation where the main character and his family live. Next comes a problem that the main character causes. The problem in this story is the kid moving to a school outside of the reservation. His tribe and his best friend now hate him for doing this. Later in the book, his best friend and him decide that it's not worth hating each other for leaving and trying something new. So Junior who is the main character and his friend Rowdy play a game of basketball, and that's how the problem is solved and then it's on to everyday life.
While that was the plot line, there are still many objects and characteristics that go along with it being a comedy. For example, the reservation has many pets, all of which fit into a comedy. Junior has a dog, and his neighbors have birds for pets. Also many long parts of the book are in places of the home that work out right for this mode of literature. One long part of the book is when the main character is on the porch talking with his math teacher. The porch is a characteristic of comedy. Junior hits his math teacher in the face with a math book, and breaks his nose there.
While there are some parts of the book that seem like tragedy for example when Juniors grandma died, the story isn't really a tragedy. Almost every object in this book makes it more of a comedy. Even though in a plot line, the book does not have to be funny, this book is very funny. There are many parts and characteristics in this novel that make this story a comedy plot line.
